Set on the northeast side of Seneca Lake, Watershed Brewing Company is a relatively new but quickly established player in the Finger Lakes craft scene, officially opening to the public in July 2023. The brewery emerged from the transformation of the former Bottomless Brewing property, when owners Ken and Lisa Greenwood took over the 17-acre farm site earlier that year and reimagined it as a destination brewery rooted in sustainability, education, and hospitality. Operating out of an 11,000-square-foot renovated dairy barn, the project reflects both a respect for the region’s agricultural history and a forward-looking approach to craft brewing.

What sets Watershed apart is its intentional blending of farm brewery ethos with a full-scale visitor experience. The Greenwoods describe themselves as “farmers at heart,” emphasizing local sourcing, environmental responsibility, and a connection to the broader Finger Lakes ecosystem. The brewery sits within a region better known for wine, positioning itself as part of a growing beer movement along the Seneca Lake beverage trail. With multiple taprooms, rotating house-brewed styles, and a steady calendar of live music and events, Watershed isn’t just a place to grab a pint—it’s designed as a gathering space that highlights the evolving culture of craft beer in Geneva and the surrounding area.
